About

This blog is an attempt to bring influence to current church culture. We’re not perfect, nor are our ideas. We love Jesus, and want to help others experience Him fully. Our goal is to reflect on things the church and the Christian community do, whether good or bad, and help change things in a more Gospel oriented manner.

Feel free to reach out to us. We’d love to hear from you.

Ask us questions here. Shoot us some ideas for content and we may just use em.

We’re always looking for topics to write about.

Remember, every author has different backgrounds, in life and in church, and there will undoubtedly be times when one of us posts something the other doesn’t agree with. One author’s posts do not necessarily reflect the opinions and views of the others.

One of the key aspects of Congruent|Culture is stimulating conversation and getting people to think for themselves, rather than blindly following the thoughts of others.

Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you. -Psalm 32:9 NIV 84

  1. Shane I have had the joy of watching you grow in many ways for several years from a young man into a man. The day I first met you I thought to myself “this young man seems to have some hidden problems, but then I was so lost who was I to even have that attitude! Even after I was saved and baptised I still felt lost but it was because I was trying so hard to live up to what I thought I should act like instead being what God wanted me to be which was a new woman in Him. I still struggle due to some very hard knocks along the way which broke my spirit and my desire to seek Him for a very long time, but He didn’t allow me to sink completely He waited for me to turn back to Him! I am trying to be a different woman from my past and I think I am headed in a good direction in fact changes are happening in several areas of my life now. So I have to say I feel change is good for anyone who continues to seek our Lord without it we sometimes quit growing in Him and when that happens we just end up “acting” which is wasted time as He waits for us all to grow!
